PORT CHARLOTTE — The body of a 62-year-old man was found floating in a canal behind houses Friday morning off the 3100 block of St. James St.

But Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes detectives who are investigating the death do not suspect foul play, according to a CCSO press release.
