Mother accused of killing toddler still not in jail

NORTH PORT — The mother who allegedly killed her 2-year-old son and then tried to take her own life in a North Carolina hotel room recently has been charged with murder, but has not made it to jail.
The boy’s father, Mark Callahan of North Port, says he’s still looking for answers.
