FORT MEADE, Fla. (AP) — Twenty-four arrests were made during an undercover drug investigation in Polk County, but authorities are still searching for four suspects.

A sheriff’s office statement says members of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Drug Unit began the investigation in the area of Ft. Meade. Undercover detectives purchased powder cocaine, crack cocaine, and cannabis from street level drug dealers over a three month time period. During the investigation, detectives obtained charges on 11 different individuals resulting from drug transactions.

On Friday detectives and deputies executed simultaneous search warrants. A shot gun, drugs and cash were also seized.

Seven individuals were arrested, but four others are still on the run. Another seventeen individuals were arrested for assorted narcotics violations.
