NORTH PORT — Curt Allen resigned as North Port High School’s boys basketball coach Friday after pushing the Bobcats to their third regional playoff appearance in six years.

“I had the opportunity to coach some pretty good players and started a culture of winning here,” Allen said. “I feel like I’ve built a good foundation.”
