Art on the sidewalk

The 10th annual Sidewalk Art Festival was held at Port Charlotte High School on Wednesday, and students certainly let their creative juices flow. In celebration of Youth Art Month, students spent the morning completing their chalk art designs along the walkway leading to the school and into the center area, where a band provided some music to draw by. Students and faculty hope the designs will remain at least until today, depending on the weather. Here, Maria Gaitan, Josh Milligan and Erin Burns work on their art, which they named "Emotions."
