Strong spring debut

PORT CHARLOTTE — Tampa Bay’s Kyle Farnsworth made his spring debut Friday, working a perfect inning of relief in the sixth against the Phillies.
The first batter he faced, Michael Young, went down on a called strike three. Carlos Ruiz flew out to right field and John Mayberry Jr. grounded out to second.
