To many people, pets are members of the family and loved too much to be frozen at the veterinarian’s office, thrown in a car trunk and then carted off to a crematorium to be disposed of anonymously. They want to grieve and remember.

Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, after receiving pet memorial requests from people attending human services, started up its Pet Passings program more than two years ago, and it has been so popular Dee Roberts has just been hired as full-time director of pet loss services.
