Stepping into Serendipity Salon — at its new location at 133 W. Marion Ave., Punta Gorda — is like stepping through a doorway from Punta Gorda to a posh European salon. Open and spacious, the former bank space has been transformed into a luxurious retreat for escaping life’s cares, even if only for an hour-long facial or a color and cut.

Yet the staff is relaxed and welcoming in the midst of the salon’s marble elegance.
