As Englewood’s tourist season winds down once again, our traffic thins and restaurant and shopping lines normalize, locals tend to refocus on the basics we’ve neglected during the hectic winter months. For the shade lovers in town it’s time to plant trees, buy a new patio umbrella and enjoy the warm mornings with the squirrels and birds. I’m not sure why, but others among us enjoy the quiet beaches, the lazy waterways and their swimming pools and few thoughts turn to planning ahead, much less civic planning. That’s what this story is really about.
Englewood’s Community Redevelopment Area Advisory Board, our CRA, is planning for the next five years and we need your help. On Monday, April 22, between 4 p.m. and
6 p.m. at the CRA offices, situated at 1398 Old Englewood Road, next to the Buchan Airport, you’ll have an opportunity to share your ideas with the community.
