Rotary to recognize Victor Desguin

Congratulations to L. Victor Desguin. He recently was selected for the Service Above Self Award by the Rotary Club of Punta Gorda, according to an email from Rotarian Wayne Goff.

Desguin is a longtime resident of Punta Gorda, and well-known for his passion for helping the children of the community. Among his accomplishments: He helped to bring Little League baseball to Charlotte County, and was instrumental in the kickoff of Pop Warner football. He also was a founding member and first president of the Charlotte County Youth Museum, later changed to the Charlotte County Historical Society.
