James F. “Jim” Kern, 42, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 1, 1970, in Fort Myers, Fla., to James H. and Georgian E. Kern.

James was the owner and operator of Nativeson Apparel, and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, loved to fish, was loved by many, and will be missed greatly by his family and many friends.

Jim is survived by his mother, Georgian; brothers, Michael and John Kern; one niece; and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his dad, Jim.
