Timothy Allen Deah

Timothy Allen “Tim” Deah, 67, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012.

He was born Dec. 12, 1944, and was the devoted son of John and Coletta Deah.

Tim served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and received the Purple Heart for his service to his country. He worked as a pattern maker making wooden patterns for the Pittsburgh, Pa., steel mills. He became totally disabled in 1978, and made Florida his permanent home in 1980. Tim’s volunteer efforts include St. Charles Borromeo Bingo, Punta Gorda Little League, the Charlotte Warriors, Charlotte High Boosters, Charlotte High School Athletics, and he most recently served as Vice President of the Charlotte Fair Association.

Tim is a loving brother of Daniel (Frances), James (Theresa) and John (Pamela); a very special cousin to Dee Quinn Guckert, all of Pittsburgh; and also is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He also will be dearly missed by his children, Patricia Ann (Carlos) Deah-Santiago of Orlando, Fla., and Jeffery Allen “Jeff” Deah of Punta Gorda, Fla. The love of Jeff’s Life, Lisa Ponsonby, shares in the family’s loss.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Laishley Park in Punta Gorda.
