David E. Ayres, 46, of Port Charlotte, Fla., went to be with the Lord, Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, after a long battle with cancer.

He was born Feb. 23, 1966.

David was originally from Battle Creek, Mich. He was a truck driver for many years, and worked at Robinson Electric and Lowe’s after moving to Port Charlotte in 2004.

He is survived by wife, Rebecca; mother, Sharon Juber; stepfather, Bill; father, Barry Beamish; stepmother, Janice; children, Ben, Jessica, Nick and Brandon; grandchildren, Cameron, Cali and Aaliyah; and siblings, Becky, Betty, Aleasha, Daryl, Barry and Nicole.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Deep Creek Community Church in Punta Gorda, Fla.
