Margaret T. Klispie, 87, of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Charlotte Regional Medical Center in Punta Gorda.

She was born June 11, 1925, in Carteret, N.J., and moved to Punta Gorda in 1963 from Sarasota, Fla.

Margaret was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for many years, and was very active with the Sacred Heart Women’s Guild. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend; she will forever be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Margaret is survived by her husband of 61 years, Richard E. Klispie; sons, Alan (Cindy) Klispie of Deep Creek, Fla., Gary S. (Gail) Klispie, and Dennis E. (Judy) Klispie of Plant City, Fla.; sister, Helen Petrus of Piscataway, N.J.; grandchildren, Jeanette (Christopher) Mack, Benjamin, Amber Rose (Juan) Uribe, Amanda (Seth) Roseberry, Mathew Crichton and Katelyn Klispie; and great-grandchildren, Casey, Patrick, Nikolas, Christina and Joseph.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at Roberson Funeral Home, Punta Gorda Chapel. Inurnment will be held at a later date by the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association Florida Gulf Coast Chapter, 14010 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33762.
