Miriam A. Gaztambide, 95, passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013.

She was born Dec. 12, 1917.

Miriam is survived by her children, Miriam and Jose Basilio, Mario F. and Lourdes, Chemi and Nayda; grandchildren, Miriam M., Teresa, Nayda, Mario Jose, Mario Francisco, Juan Pablo and Ramon; great-grandchildren; brother, Ramon; sisters, Iris and Dolores “Lola” of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and other relatives in Puerto Rico and Punta Gorda, Fla., who will miss her greatly and request your prayers. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mario.

A funeral was held Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. There will be a Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013, at San Antonio Catholic Church, 24445 Rampart Blvd., Port Charlotte.

Arrangements were made in Puerto Rico.
