Franklin L. Pugh

Franklin L. Pugh, 88, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013, at the Douglas T. Jacobson State Veterans Nursing Home in Port Charlotte.

He was born March 5, 1925, in Athens, Ala.

Franklin had been a career officer with the U.S. Air Force, and retired in 1973 as a Chief Master Sergeant. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Venice, Fla., and was a life member of Carolina Masonic Lodge 375 and the Fort Walton Beach Magi Shrine Club.

Survivors include his loving wife of 16 years, Kitty Losh; sons, Michael, Stuart, David and Franklin Pugh; daughters, Bonnie Hale and Betsy Pugh; four stepchildren; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Christ United Methodist Church, 1475 Center Road, Venice, FL 34292. Memorial contributions may be made to the Christ United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund in memory of Franklin Pugh. You may share a memory with the family at www.englewoodfh.com.
