Marjorie N. Gagnon, 98, of Ormond Beach, Fla., formerly of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Higganum, Conn., went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, under the care of Hospice in Daytona Beach, Fla.

She was born to Frederick and Grace (nee White) Nevers, April 29, 1915, in Hartford, Conn.

Working most of her career as a nurses aid for Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, Conn. Marjorie and her husband, Alfred, move to Port Charlotte in 1970 from Higganum, and were members of the Trinity United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Grace (Ken) Brown of Ormond Beach, Nancy Goodrich of Port Land, Conn., Laura (Bernie) Gordon of Killingworth, Conn., Barbara (Skip) Gainsley of Stonington, Conn., and Shirley (Skip) Herdman of Cantebury, Conn.; son, Alfred (Marie) Gagnon of Rockville, Conn.; brother, Robert Gagnon Of Stafford Springs, Conn.; sisters, Donna (Keith) Mosley of Essex, Conn., Denise Abramenko of Anderson, Calif., and Theresa Gagnon of Deep River, Conn.; 27 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Gagnon, May 19, 1990; and son, Thomas Gagnon.

Graveside Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at Charlotte Memorial Cemetery, 9400 Indian Springs Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda, Fla.

Arrangements are by Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, Crematory and Cemetery.
