Charlotte High grad jumps to new heights

College coaches showed more interest in Chase Meyers as a football player than as a track and field athlete.
Yet the Charlotte High School graduate chose to pursue track and field. The decision has benefited the sophomore and the University of South Florida, whose track coaches were the first to recruit him.
