Officials with the Florida High School Athletic Association warned Tuesday of “the continuing threat to the integrity of high school sports” posed by a bill under consideration in the Florida Legislature.
House Bill 1279, if passed, will limit the FHSAA’s investigative powers and remove its leadership. The bill was passed unanimously March 19 by the House Choice & Innovation Subcommittee, prompting Tuesday’s media conference call.
