Jammers season around the corner

Every year, the Punta Gorda Police Department’s Jammer’s Basketball League has seen growth.

The police department started the Jammers program in 2001 as a way to reach out to at-risk youth. After a brief hiatus after Hurricane Charley in 2004, the league reformed in 2009 and has grown every year.
