“It seems there is more concern about the missing letter ‘e’ than those terrible terrorists who were trained in Venice and did it,” said Gene Sweeney, president and CEO of Salt of the Earth USA, referring to a misspelling on the 9/11 Victims and Fallen Military Heroes Memorial in Patriots Park. “Grammatically, the word ‘Heros’ is wrong to use for more than one, and ‘Heroes’ is correct.”

According to Sweeney, he wasn’t aware of the error until he received an email from a woman last Monday following Veterans Day events at Patriots Park, where several hundred people had gathered on Sunday.
