City leaders in Venice agreed Tuesday it’s time for a joint meeting with the North Port City Commission.

Venice Council Member Emilio Carlesimo raised the issue, saying the relationship between the two municipalities is a special one and “shared attributes, opportunities and challenges” warrant at least an annual meeting.
