2 restaurants get doggie permit

Doggie dining is spreading to downtown Venice, following the success of Mi Pueblo El Restaurante Mexicano & Cantina on South U.S. 41 Bypass, which several months ago received the first special city permit to allow guests to be accompanied by their pets when dining outdoors.

TJ Carney’s Pub & Grille, 231 W. Venice Ave., has also introduced the service.
