“Everything in the store has been repurposed,” said Lynn Cirillo, co-owner with Jennifer Strall of Mermaids Design Studio, 442-A North U.S. 41 Bypass. It’s a working studio offering beading, wire wrapping, fused glass, stained-glass soldering, tiki signs, handmade customized jewelry and repairs.
“We repurpose vintage jewelry and furniture by modernizing it,” she said, “recycle wine bottles, cutting them into rings to make bracelets, wind chimes and hurricane lamps, old frames into mirrors — turning trash into treasures.”
