At a time prior to this past week’s Venice City Council meeting, I met with Mayor John Holic in an effort to urge the rezoning of the Pinebrook Park, keeping it in its natural state and for exercise use.

Along with others, I hoped, once and for all at this week’s meeting, to remove the idea of using that “gem” of a place for some expansion of more government buildings or an active sports field.
