Stuart E. Pippin, 84, of Venice, formerly of Bristol, Va., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at Venice Regional Medical Center.

Stuart was born Aug. 18, 1928, in Hopewell, Va.. Stuart served with the U.S. Army Air Corps, Navy, and Air Force, from which he retired after 24 years. He operated the Pine Grove Dental Lab in Venice for 26 years. He was a member of South Venice Baptist Church, having served as a Sunday School director, deacon, usher and Sunday school teacher, and singing in the choir.

Stuart is survived by his wife of 37 years, Maureen; sons Terry Pippin (Susan) of Kansas City, Mo., Stuart Pippin II of Belleville, Ill., Stuart Pippin Jr.(Yvonne) of Venice and Dean McKinnon (Catherine) of Baltimore, Md.; daughters Laurie Austin (Mark) of Orem, Utah, Brenda Clark (Roger) of Venice, Shelley Freeman of West Jefferson, N.C., and Jill Gokey (John) of Venice; 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services: A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, at South Venice Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Ewing Funeral Home, Venice.
