Carol Anne Nylander Saykally, age 72, passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at MedWest Haywood.

A native of Albany, N.Y. Carol was the daughter of the late Clifford and Helen Orvis Johnson and was also preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Nylander, who died in 2004. Carol was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed music, traveling, camping and cruising on her boat.

She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Derrell Saykally; two daughters, Laurie Gabrielsen (Rick) of Colorado and Dawn Brewster (Gary) of Florida; one son, Dale Nylander (Michele) of Florida; one brother, Robert Johnson (Delores) of New York; three grandchildren, Ryan and Ashley Ikemeier and Nichole Hernandez; and three great-grandchildren, Alex and Greyson Ikemeier and Gabriel Hernandez.
