David S. Hack

David S. Hack, 75, of Venice, formerly of Baltimore, Md., passed away Thursday, Oct.18, 2012.

Mr. Hack was born April 28, 1937, in Baltimore, Md., the son of the late Louis and Betty (Rosensweig) Hack.

David was a member of the Jewish Congregation of Venice, and wrote for both the Waterline magazine and the Venice Gondolier Sun.

David is survived by Lois, his wife of 32 years; son Stephen Hack of Ocean City, Md.; daughters Fayne Cavanagh (Chris) of Hampstead, Md., Debra Dauer of Baltimore, Md., and Ilysa Cohen (William) of Baltimore, Md.; sister Marsha Hack of Clearwater; and six grandchildren. David was preceded in death by his sister Sondra Blatt.

Services: Services for David will be held Sunday, Oct. 21, at 1 p.m. at the Jewish Congregation of Venice, with burial following in the Jewish Congregation of Venice Memorial Park. Ewing Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
