Paul V. Webrand

Paul V. Webrand, 87, a resident of Bradenton, formerly of Venice, Sanibel Island and Lake Wales, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013.

He was born Nov. 22,1925, in rural Blackhawk County, Iowa.

He was a World War II veteran and member of American Legion Post 242. He was a partner in the Webrand and Dake John Deere Implement in Reinbeck. Also, he was manager of the Venice Elks Lodge for more than 20 years and he retired as manager of the Colony Beach Resort on Sanibel Island.

Survivors include his wife, Alleene; daughters, Linda Cummings of Bradenton and Jane Handra of Sarasota; son, Dennis Webrand of Lakeland, Ga.; sister, Mary Dake of Reinbeck; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services: His body will be cremated and buried in Grant Township Cemetery in Tama County, Iowa, at a later date.
