Kenneth A. Meixell, age 98, of Venice, formerly of Stroudsburg, Pa., passed away Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at Caretel Inns of Linden, Mich. He born March 5, 1914.

Kenneth was a printer at Hughes Printing Company. He was a World War II U.S. Navy pharmacist mate, attached to the U.S. Marine Corps, serving at Quantico, Va., and Solomons, Md. He was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church of Venice Isle Estates and a 64-year member of Barger Lodge 325 Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his daughter, Lois A. (Robert) Swoveland, of Fenton, Mich., and son, Gary L. Meixell, of Pen Argyl, Pa.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two nieces, Paula (Hulme) Thomas of Bethlehem, Pa. and Kathy (Alan) Serfass of Webster, N.Y. Kenneth was predeceased by his wife of 75 years, Mary E. Meixell, and infant son, Craig Brian.

Services: As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in Stroudsburg, Pa., at a later date.
