Mr. Gregory Philip Burke, 49, of Chelmsford, Mass., formerly of Venice, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Lowell General Hospital in Lowell, Mass.

He was married to Mrs. Gwendolyn (Regan) Burke, with whom he celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary on Aug. 30, 2012.

Greg was the son of Hazel Burke of Venice and Danbury, N.H., and the late Douglas Burke. He was a graduate of Venice High School, Class of 1981, and attended the University of South Florida.

Greg owned and operated G.P. Burke Carpentry of Chelmsford, Mass.

He was a member of the West Chelmsford United Methodist Church of Chelmsford, Mass.

He was formerly a member of the Westford Lions Club. An outdoorsman, Greg loved fly fishing, camping and canoeing with his family.

Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Genevieve Burke of Chelmsford; a son, Nathaniel Burke of Chelmsford; two sisters, Priscilla Black of Lowell, Mass., and Judy (Gregory) Barry of Upper Cornwall, Nova Scotia, Canada; brothers Brian (Jocelyn) Burke of Wallingford, Conn., and Vernon (Kelly) Burke of Castaic, Calif.; and a sister-in-law, Ginger Burke. Greg is also survived by nieces and nephews, Meghan, Adam, Elizabeth and Josh Barry, Torey and Phil Black, Becky, Brian, Kenneth, Weston, Amy and Graham Burke, Jessica Goodwin, Amy and Cliff Regan and Zach and Jason Zemlicka; and many close friends.

He was the brother of the late Kenneth Burke of Westford, Mass.

Services: Visiting hours were 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Dolan Funeral Home, 106 Middlesex St., Chelmsford, Mass. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at West Chelmsford United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Riverdale Cemetery, Danbury, N.H. Arrangements are by Dolan Funeral Home.
