Ann-Sybil Hannon
Ann-Sybil Hannon, 76, of Venice, passed away on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013.
Ann-Sybil was born on April 26, 1936, in Springfield, Mass., to Lester and Leslye Oberheim. She was a graduate of Agawam High School, where she met her husband of 57 years, Richard, who predeceased her in 2012. She worked for the Alderman & McNicsh architectural firm and was a secretary at a Holland, Mass., assessor’s office. She retired from Howlett Lumber in 1989.
Ann-Sybil was a member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church and a member of Venice East Golf Club, where she golfed every day. She was also president of Agawam Women’s Club, a Girl Scout leader, youth leader of a fellowship group at Holland Congregational Church and a champion professional roller skater at Riverside Roller Rink in Agawam, Mass.
Survivors include her daughters, Lynn A. (Robert) Byer of North Port and Susan (Louis) Lascelles of Ewington, Ohio; stepmother, Evelyn Oberheim of Mt. Vernon, Maine; brother, Allan Oberheim of Drury, Mass.; and three grandchildren, Jeffrey, Lynn and Jamie.
Services: Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel, with a funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow at Venice Memorial Gardens.
