Edward F. Walck
Edward F. Walck, passed away Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, in Ossining, N.Y. He was born April 15, 1929, in Yonkers, N.Y.
Edward was ordained as a Catholic priest in 1956. Father Walck served as a Maryknoll Missionary to both Bolivia and Mexico. After retiring from his overseas missions, he served the Hispanic community at St. Leo’s Parrish in Bonita Springs, Fla.
After officially retiring in 2003, Father Walck moved to Venice, Fla., where he was a consultant to the Justice and Peace Committee of the Epiphany Cathedral Parish and helped with Bible Reflection groups.
He served as Chaplain for the Knights of Columbus Council 7052, in Venice, and as spiritual director for “The Brothers of Adoration.” He also assisted at ecumenical prayer serving at a local retirement home.
Father Walck returned to New York in 2010.
He is survived by his brother, Robert Walck, of Connecticut and cousins Peg Drab and Linn Walck of Venice.
