Joseph Kona, 96, of Venice, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013.

He was a member of Lift Church of Venice. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Myrtle; sons, Joseph Kona of Debarry, Fla., George Kona of Nokomis; daughter, Patricia Kona of Venice; brother Dan Kona of Santa Barbara, Calif.; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services: Visitation will be held Friday, March 22, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Ewing Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, March 23, at 11 a.m. at Ewing Funeral Home.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lift Church of Venice.
