Lloyd Edward Hanna, 89, of Venice, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Venice Regional Medical Center.

Born on June 16, 1923, in Portsmouth, Ohio, he had been a Sarasota County resident for eight years, coming from Fort Wayne, Ind.

Lloyd served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was the owner/operator of Hanna Drywall and Painting in Fort Wayne prior to his retirement in 1978. He was a member of Venice Bible Church.

Survivors include his devoted wife of eight years, Lettie M. of Venice; one daughter, Linda Freese of Angola, Ind.; three sons, David of Spencerville, Ind., Craig of Angola, Ind., and Jamie of Fort Wayne; one stepdaughter, Pamela R. Moser of Tellico Plains, Tenn.; two stepsons, William Glover of Venice and Richard Glover of Beloit, Wis.; and several grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Services: Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until service time at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, at Englewood Community Funeral Home, 3070 South McCall Road. Interment will follow at Sarasota National Cemetery with honors to be rendered by the U.S. Navy.

Contributions: Memorial contributions may be made to Venice Bible Church, 2395 West Shamrock Drive, Venice FL 34293, in memory of Lloyd Hanna.
