Robert L. Yeager

Robert L. Yeager, 84, of Venice, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013.

Robert was born Aug. 5, 1928, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of the late Lee and Lottie Yeager.

Robert was a 1946 graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School, receiving math awards, and was a mathematical scholar and a graduate of Johns Hopkins University in 1950 majoring in industrial engineering. He was a member of Unity Church of Venice.

He served with the U.S. Army as an infantry officer working with NASA in Huntsville, Ala. He worked 10 years with Hewlett-Packard in Silicon Valley developing small computers that brought us into the digital computer age and was the founder of Integrated Marketing International in Westport, Conn. Boating was his passion.

Robert is survived by his longtime partner, Martha Watson; son, Robert John of Portland, Ore.; daughters Catherine Yeager of Kennewick, Wash., and Carol Yeager Quist (Ron Zorn) of Phoenix, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son William and wife, Barbara M. Yeager.

Services: A celebration of Robert’s life was held on Saturday, March 16, at Gulf Shores Beach Side. Ewing Funeral Home in charge of cremation arrangements.

Contributions: Memorial donations maybe made in Robert’s name to Tidewell Hospice and to the Barbara M. Yeager Memorial Fund, Whittingham Cancer Center, Norwalk CT.
