Hazel L. Bachman, 104, of Venice, Fla., formerly of the Mohawk Valley area of New York, passed away Monday, Sept. 16, 2013.
Survivors include daughter Kay Miller of Venice, Fla.; grandchildren James (Lisa) Hare of Broadalbin, N.Y., Joanne (Richard) Mucilli of Amsterdam, N.Y., and Jill Timberlake of Alexandria, Va.; and great-grandchildren Nicholas, AJ, Jacquelyn, Casandra, Nathan, Daniel and Casllen.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, Clark and Louise Weaver; her sister, Lula Miles; and, in 2002, by her husband of 72 years, Kenneth W. Bachman.
She was formerly a legal secretary, square dancer and avid bridge player. An active resident of Spanish Lakes Mobile Home Park in Nokomis, Fla., since 1987, Hazel moved to Sunset Lake Village Assisted Living Facility, Venice, Fla., in 2007.
Always looking at the brighter side, she was a friend to everyone, residents and caregivers alike.
Services: Services will be held Monday, Sept. 23, at 10:30 am at Sunset Lake Village.
