The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Venice man for child abuse this week after he admitted the crime.

The victim’s mother called the sheriff’s office to report that Edward Prall, 35, assaulted her 11-year-old son several times after school Wednesday. When she arrived home from work the boy told her about the attack.
