St. Patty’s Day 8K set for Saturday

The South County Family YMCA will host its annual St. Patty’s Day 8K event Saturday morning. Registration is $20 prior to Saturday and $25 the day of the race. The race will take place on the island and consists of a scenic loop. All runners will receive a complimentary continental breakfast courtesy of Sharky’s On The Pier. There are five age divisions — male, female, masters, grand masters and senior grand masters — and awards will be given to the top performers in each of those classes. The Y will be handing out door prizes and T-shirts to the participants.
