Dave and Amy Freeman are three weeks away from the conclusion of a three-year journey that has covered nearly 12,000 miles, stretching from the northern regions of Canada and set to wrap up April 6 in Key West — with a recent stop in Venice.
Ten years ago, the Freemans started The Wilderness Classroom, a nonprofit that aims to improve students’ understanding of and appreciation for nature through their first-hand accounts of journeys all over the world.
