Elmy’s arm, bat help Venice clinch No. 1 seed

Call it an embarrassment of pitches.
The Venice High Indians (9-1, 8-0) clinched the No. 1 seed in District 11 Thursday night with a 5-2 win over Manatee (2-10, 2-5), due largely to Brandon Elmy’s return to the mound.
