Forty-three teams and 1,900 boys and girls from all over the state gathered at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota April 26 for a Florida Scholastic Rowing Association-sponsored regatta practice. That weekend the high school teams competed against each other for the fifth straight year at Benderson. The event is among the largest crew competitions in the state and is run by more than 300 volunteers.
