There is nothing worse than being on a pile of fish one minute and having them turn off the next. The bite in an area that I found down on Lake Okeechobee during my practice day was still on when the tournament started. Unfortunately, on the second day, it ended just as fast as it had started.

When you get on a pile of fish while you are practicing for a big tournament, it can be the greatest feeling in the world. You put your time in and spend hours covering an area, trying to find some decent fish. That is what it takes to put yourself in a position to win. All these things came together for me — only to abruptly come to a halt four hours before the tournament ended, leaving me two bass short of a limit.
